About us

Coburg Leisure Centre is part of Active Merri-bek, which is owned by the City of Merri-bek and run by YMCA Victoria.

Programs / services

Fitness

Coburg Leisure Centre offers you the support to achieve your fitness goals – get fit in our gym, group fitness classes (offered through our weekly timetable) or personal training or small group training.

Swim

Whether you want to swim laps, splash around with your kids, learn to swim or relax in the spa or steam room – come for a dip in our indoor heated pools at Coburg Leisure Centre.

We are an accredited Watch Around Water facility, meaning there are guidelines that must be followed when visiting the centre.

Children

At Coburg Leisure Centre we offer two types of child care:

  • in-centre care (sessional care): for children whose parent / guardian are present in the centre;
  • out of centre care (occasional care): for children whose parent / guardian are leaving the centre.

We cater for children from six weeks up to six years of age. Children can attend child care for up to four hours per day and a maximum of 15 hours a week.

    Treating onsite at Coburg Leisure Centre.

    The Reload team believe in empowering their patients so they can live a healthy life with confidence in their body.

    If injuries do occur, then their approach is:

    • relieve the symptoms;
    • regain your mobility;
    • reload for resilience.

    Without movement and load, rehab will not be complete. Being strong and mobile is paramount to all aspects of physical health.

    Services at Reload- Coburg Leisure Centre:

    • physiotherapy;
    • remedial massage and myotherapy;
    • acute and chronic injury rehabilitation programs;
    • sport, spinal and workplace injuries of all ages;
    • running assessments;
    • group and 1-on-1 hydrotherapy.

Accessibility

Coburg Leisure Centre offers accessible programs that enable people of all abilities to participate in a safe and clean environment with qualified, enthusiastic and reliable staff.

Take a look at our accessible facilities which include: accessible gym equipment, changing rooms, free entry for carers, parking spaces, ramps etc.

We also offer concession pricing and are part of the Companion Card Program, which means a person with a disability does not have to pay the entry fee for the carer that comes with them.

Memberships and prices

We offer a variety of memberships at Coburg Leisure Centre, including aquatic and fitness memberships, programs tailored to seniors and youth, as well as a universal membership that offers access to all six Active Merri-bek centres. We also offer various support and concession memberships to disadvantaged members of our community.

For those taking public transport, Coburg train station is nearby (on the Upfield line), as is the number 19 tram (stop 34) and bus 513 (stop 9). There is bicycle parking outside the centre. All day and 3-hour car parking is available in the Russell Street car park (506 spaces).
