Indoor pool closureWe’re committed to keeping Fawkner Leisure Centre safe and enjoyable for everyone. As part of this commitment, our indoor pool will be temporarily closed from 6 January to 30 January (inclusive) while essential floor resurfacing works are carried out.
A note about the works: The resurfacing process may produce an odour in the indoor pool area. While this smell is not harmful, we understand it may be unpleasant. We are taking steps to minimise the impact, including enhanced ventilation and other measures to support the comfort of our patrons and staff. |
About us
Fawkner Leisure Centre is part of Active Merri-bek, which is owned by the City of Merri-bek and run by Y Victoria.

Fitness
There are lots of ways to get active at Fawkner Leisure Centre. Work out in our fully-equipped gym, take part in one of our group fitness classes (offered through our weekly timetable), or achieve your health and fitness goals through personal training.
Swim
We have heated indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a learner's pool and shaded toddler pool. Learn to swim with our swimming lessons, enjoy some exercise through lap swimming and aqua aerobics, or relax in our spa, steam room and sauna. We also offer men’s and women’s only swimming programs.

Fawkner Leisure Centre offers:

- indoor heated pools: 25 metre lap pool and learner's pool;

Accessibility
Fawkner Leisure Centre is well equipped to cater for people of all abilities. We run accessible programs.
We have a range of accessible facilities, including:
- accessible change rooms;
- accessible parking spaces;
- manual pool hoist to spa;
- pool pod for indoor pool;
- ramp and/or beach access at our outdoor pools.
We also offer concession pricing and are part of the Companion Card Program, which means a person with a disability does not have to pay the entry fee for the carer that comes with them.
Memberships and prices
We offer a variety of memberships at Fawkner Leisure Centre, including programs tailored to seniors and youth. We also offer various support and concession memberships to disadvantaged members of our community.
