80s Aerobics

We’re bringing back the 80s! Synonymous with leg warmers and high, high, high-cut leotards, aerobics classes catapulted on to the mainstream fitness scene in the early 1980s! Get ready for an entertaining cardio based session set to nostalgic tunes that will make you both sweat and smile!

Active Merri-bek Fun Run and Walk

Whether you are a runner or not, you can choose to walk 5km, run 5km or run 10km around the picturesque Merri Creek Trail. The event is pram and wheelchair friendly!

Circuit in the park

A full body outdoor circuit session out the front of Fawkner Leisure Centre, utilising the existing equipment in C.B Reserve. Circuit training burns calories, and improves muscle strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination. Suits beginners to advanced. Set your own intensity and pace!

Coburg Women’s Open Training Night

Join the Coburg Women’s footy team at an open training night. Learn from the best how to handball and perfect your kicking! Before you know it you’ll be playing like a pro.

Mobility

In this mobility session, you will get tips on how to improve your mobility, flexibility, balance, and postural awareness. Regular mobility training improves your general physical health and compliments your strength and cardio training by allowing you to access greater ranges of movement in all activities.

Skate Park Leagues

This is a grassroots competition series that offers young people a chance to showcase their skateboard, BMX and scooter skills. Skate Park Leagues is open to young people and is free of charge. It provides young people a chance to showcase their talent through a national pathway.

Sundown yoga and meditation

Meet Shane by the pool for an inspiring yoga and meditation class. You will be guided by our Mynd expert through poses and relaxation, with a focus on mindfulness, as the sun sets over the pool.

Sunrise Yoga

Sunrise Yoga – You will ‘salute the sun’ with yoga instructor Rita. This is a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of the outdoor area at Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre, with a yoga class by the pool. Prepare for an inspiring start to your Friday! Please bring your mat along and dress comfortably.

Swimming Carnival

Swimming lessons students, members and the public are welcome to join our inaugural swimming carnival. We have races for all ages including a family relay race. Come and join in the fun!

Tai Chi By The Pool

Poolside! A unique combination of gentle and easy to follow movements, stretches, mindfulness, breath and relaxation. It improves the functioning of virtually all of the systems of the body.

Walk and Talk

Bring your family and friends and come along to our walk and talk session. There will be a five minute meet and greet, followed by a 30 minute walk. The session will end with a five minute wind down stretch, when you return to Bridges Reserve at the front of the Ccentre.

Youth Strength

A fabulous opportunity for young people to enjoy a strength focussed workout in the Health Club, under the guidance of our experienced instructor Carmel. You will be supported through a medium intensity program while you work out with other people, also under 18 years of age.
